Royal Festival of the Horse

Between the 9th and 11th of July at the Royal Festival of the Horse. Simon will be running a free prize draw to win one of his photography shoots! This is an exciting departure from his traditional draw, where you could win a print (there are still four being given away at the show!).

The prize will be a Starter Package which includes:
1 hour shooting time
2 x A4 Prints
4 x 7 x 5 prints

And as an additional prize, Simon will choose a picture from the selection and transform it to one of his Signature Style prints!

There will also be four second prizes of an A4 print to the runners up!

Details of the show can be found here: http://www.royalfestivalofthehorse.co.uk/

WPOTY - 2010

I submitted a small selection of images this year to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Although the organisers haven’t announced the winners which ww will have to wait for until nearer the end of the year. Those of us, who didn’t make the finals did find out whether we made it any further than the first round. Which I’m pleased to say, I did. In the category of Wild Places I made it to the semi-finals. Not bad at all!

I’ll figure out how to get the image displayed on the website sometime soon. The problem is that it is a 52 inch long panoramic scene.

I like a good challenge...

Lets celebrate!

With the sound of popping champagne corks and a fanfare of deafening proportions, I'd like to welcome you to my new home! This is the brand new website for Into The Lens, and Simon Palmer Wildlife Photography. It's been designed to be clean, crisp, and easy to navigate. More importantly, it should help you navigate to what you want or need.

I have a selection of my prints now available for purchase, they are all signed by my hand! You'll also notice there are clinics that are being run this year around the UK to teach beginners better horse photography!

Stay and browse. Tell me what you think of the design and also the pictures.
